Hi, i've been following this project for a while now and would like to know whether there's any ETA for a MacOs version.
there's been some interest and even someone steping up to volunteer to help a bit, so it's possibly on the horizon.
However to this point we haven't even had time to properly support them with help and such as we've been rushing to get the app up on our target platforms (and it's not quite as straight forward as flutter might lead you to believe, plus adding in automated builds for each... it's work)
That said, I'm hopping this summer to have the time to engage with them and see where they can get to with a little support. On the other hand, currently none of the core team has macs or mac dev licenses so we can't do much ourselves. But a mac port should be pretty reasonable? it's the ios one I worry about, briar has run into a lot of problems with how restrictive ios back ground services have become.
So: if the volunteers can get a lot done, we might be able to have codebase support in a few months. As for binaries? that means building out macos build automation and that ... again I know nothing about and may have costs for dev licenses and such, like. it's a lot I don't know. So we'll see is really all I can say now.
Well i sincerely hope you'll find the helping hands you need both for MacOs and (maybe even more indeed) iOS. How about putting a word about this on your webpage so people might know and help you guys out ?
we probabaly will when we're closer to ready. Right now it's been heads down full speed just to get the beta stablish for release on android windows linux. based on feed back so far we clearly have a few weeks still of just bug fixing ahead but I'm hoping sometime in the summer we'll have the time and space to start working on this :)
