Running on Cwtch 1.6.0 (latest update) and had the chance to finally leave (delete) conversations. However, when I shutdown Cwtch, and log back in - those same conversations reappear (as if they were never left/deleted).

Confirmed. This is an Android API bug. Thanks for the report, we will get this fixed and rolled into a point release this week.
