File download fails with no error if download folder does not exist #404

If the folder specified in the preferences (default /home/username/Downloads on linux) does not exist, file transfers fail and there's no error message within cwtch about what the problem is. Instead it just stays stuck at "Retrieving file information..."

If launched from a console there is a message:
[ERR ] could not save manifest: open /home/username/Downloads/filename.manifest: no such file or directory
