I would like the ability to receive messages when my primary communicate device (mobile/laptop/etc) is not connected to the internet. I understand the reasons why I cannot delegate this ability to an untrusted third-party, I should be able to delegate it to a trusted entity.

One possibility is a small service which I personally deploy to a server I have which connects to cwtch (as normal) and exposes a tor hidden-service which my standard cwtch client can connect to instead of the standard cwtch endpoints. This personalized service will remain connected to the greater cwtch network and be able to receive messages and (if necessary) take other actions on my behalf. Then whenever I connect my primary device to it, I am brought up to do.

I am sure there are other (and perhaps) better ways to accomplish this.
