I would like to use Cwtch on Whonix that is already connected to the Tor network.
I have the very same issue, cwtch just won't start on Whonix. Marrying cwtch with Whonix would be great.
PS It's great to see you self-hosting git/gitea instead of relying on github.
this is work we very much want to get to and tentatively have scheduled for the first half of 2022. It requires wiring in the support to
https://git.openprivacy.ca/openprivacy/connectivity
and then adding support this, the cwtch library, and then finally also adding support to the UI (also the server).
But rest assured, it is in the queue of things we want to get to :)
Tracked in Cwtch-ui: cwtch.im/cwtch-ui#19
Cwtch UI now supports this through the
Advanced Tor configuration
menu.Would it be possible to add the possibility of using unix domain sockets (UDS) in addition to specifying ports?
