the file docs.cwtch.im/i18n/de/docusaurus-plugin-content-docs/current.json is not in snyc with the actual sidebar on the website.
It does have categories inside the file which are not on the actual website (i.e. Chats, Appearance, Behaviour) and on the other hand there are categories in the sidebar on the website which are not inside this file (i.e. Conversations, Groups, Servers, Tor)

I've noticed this too. Not quite sure why docusaurus is smart enough to generate translation targets for the menus but then not use the supplied results. Will have to dig into

This is now fixed. An upgrade to 2.4 instead of 2.0 beta, and the full solution is to run the write-translations command for each locale e.g. npm run write-translations -- --locale de
