@sarah Note that I am unsure if it is a bug or not considering that it could be used to transfer data across devices? I don’t know what you plan in terms of multi device scenarios regarding onion service keys.

We have some sketch designs for multidevice (https://git.openprivacy.ca/cwtch.im/cwtch/issues/58) but in all designs each device has their own keys, and communication between them is explicitly mediated via special peer apps (or private groups).

In this case, this is definitely a bug - since the peer will never have itself as a contact, which is why it leads to a crash. Should have a fix for this soon.
