Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Problem: The localization flow as it exists now while relatively simply could be intimidating for people who don't typically use the terminal or git.
Suggested Solution: Weblate removes the need for a potential language contributor to need to download Qt Linguist or a similar local client, and the need to deal with git and terminal.
It does this by providing a feature rich, web based online localization tool in combination with middleware components that allow it to automatically recognize new strings and automatically (or manually) pull translations by contributors into the repository. Personally, my favorite feature is the ability to subscribe email notifications for various triggers like new strings. Being open source you can choose to self host your own Weblate instance much like OpenPrivacy already does or given cwtch and the mission of OpenPrivacy (most likely) have Weblate freely host for you via their 'Gratis Weblate for libre projects' price tier.
A demo to see for yourself how easy Weblate makes translating and visual statistics of a project's localization status can be found here: https://hosted.weblate.org/
thanks! yes we plan to do something like this in 2020 as the app matures from early alpha/prototype and the ui shapes up a bit and we're over all more ready to take translations!
