Delete Branch "%!s(<nil>)"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Hi, there was that Windows only app (forgot its name) that allowed for customizing Tor settings, such as : demanding 4 hops instead of the regular 3 ; block bootstrapping and/or exit nodes (although the latter are non existent for cwtch) by geolocalization, blacklists etc... Maybe it was a UI for the Tor expert bundle, I simply don't recall.
Is this possible with the current version of cwtch and if not, is this on the roadmap ? It might increase security for certain classes of people.
No, Cwtch runs it's own password-locked instance of Tor which isn't accessible by any other application.
Yes: #19
We do have most of the wiring already in place to allow these kinds of configurations (https://git.openprivacy.ca/cwtch.im/libcwtch-go/src/branch/trunk/lib.go#L159), but they are not currently exposed in the UI.
As a note: because Cwtch only uses onion services we already block non-Onion traffic in the tor config (and also no-exit nodes are selected because Cwtch will never attempt to resolve a non-onion address).
ok looking forward to play with this in the UI.
Closing in favour of: #19
