Formatting parser removes "**" correction from chat message #695

If it put a typo in a message, say "tyop" (should by typo 🙃) then, I try to write "typo**" on the following line, to clarify the that i made a typo, the formatter eats the "**" and removes it. I only get "typo" on the following line.
